Who doesn’t like skeletons? These little fellows are from Wargames Atlantic, they’re nice and chunky and a breeze to assemble, unlike some I’ve done in the past (I’m looking at you Warlord Games!).

Skeletons - Wargames Atlantic Sprue

After building the skeletons I went for a simple paint job and finished their bases in classic style with sand and grit! That just left me the sprue, so what did I do with it?

The Sprue

The sprue itself is a bit on the small side and the frame is tubular in nature which limits its usefulness. There are also a couple of body parts and some weaponry leftover that I can incorporate as well. I can’t think too big on this one so I’ll make some smaller things.

The Grave number 1

Obviously I started with a grave! I grabbed a couple of leftover skulls and jumped at the chance to create a stereotypical thing by adding the obligatory arm reaching out of the soil. Adding the grave stone and the railings help elevate the overall look.

The Grave number 2 & 3 and a Lookout Tower!

In keeping with the theme, I made an old wooden cross marking a burial cairn and finished it off by attaching a spare shield for decoration. Next, I constructed a small rustic lookout tower. Then, with only a tiny bit of sprue left I managed to eek out one final grave!

I can use all these items as objective makers or for general battlefield clutter, either way it was a fun little project to do!
