Faced with this classic wiggly part of the sprue, I was unclear what to use it for. I had already used the straight pieces for another project, but I was determined to put the rest to good use! After taking some time out to spin and flip the thing around, I suddenly noticed a cool shape that would be perfect!

So I set about freeing the shape from the rest of the sprue. Then I simply carved it into a lovely pair of antlers. Of course, they’re far too large in reality, but for a mini dude, they’re perfect! I added a nose and a pair of eyes before finishing off the head with a lower jaw.

For the body, I constructed it in the same way as I normally do by gluing a few bits of sprue together before scraping a fur texture all over it with a knife. And then after adding the head, I gave it a large weapon, which I figured would have been fashioned from a large piece of antler.

I painted it up in a lovely reddish brown and coloured the antler in an off white. This finished this little warrior. I don’t think it’ll be very good at creeping or hiding from its enemies, but it will certainly spread fear to anyone who tries to fight it!
