Simply put, I’ve never made a flying mini before, so I made one!
I started by gluing bits of sprue together to make two separate parts. One for the head and the other for the body. Then, I carved them into rough, round shapes before scratching a hairy texture all over with a knife. With the head, I glued a couple of antennas to the top and attached a large pair of eyes.
I then gave it arms and legs before turning my attention to the wings. To do this, I carved some thin pieces of plastic from a lump of dried sprue goo. And to finish off, I equipped it a dangerous-looking spear.
To paint this little fellow, I first primed it in black, then gave it a blue, followed by a green dry brush. The eyes obviously had to be red, and the wings had to be a lovely sky blue colour.
This is the first dude I’ve made that can take to the skies under their own steam! I think he’ll be a force to be reckoned with on and above the battlefield!
