I was so excited when I found these beads in a craft shop. These skulls would be perfect to create some cool Sprue Dudes! Wasting no time, I grabbed a few bits of plastic and started to make a body. For the first mini, I chose to make a Space Marine.
Keeping it simple, I constructed the limbs in the normal way before adding a few embellishments like the shoulder pads and the backpack to give it that classic marine look.
I took a little more time than usual to make the weapons. By adding small tubular bits of sprue for the barrels of the guns, it gave them a classier look. I finished the build off by glueing the head to the body.
To paint the dude, I had to do it in the Ultramarine style. For the skull itself, I gave it a slight brown tint to give it that “I’ve been in the ground” look!
I will make more of these soon, but before I do, I might have to make some fantasy-themed dudes first!
