While digging through my toolbox trying to find the correct spanner, I came across this lonely nut. I immediately popped it into my pocket with the idea of making a new dude out of it!
So when I found a spare hour, I grabbed a piece of sprue and went to work.
First off, I glued a couple of round sprue bits for the eyes before making the legs from the curved parts of the frame. I gently carved the sharp edges off of them to make them more natural-looking 😜.
Next, I popped on a pair of arms and equipped it with a sword and shield.
To paint it, I wanted the nut part to remain a metal colour, which seems a bit counterproductive to paint it back to how it looked before the primer, but there you go.
I finished it off by adding a bit of red to the shield and yellow for the hands.
While I was making this fellow, I couldn’t stop thinking of pun names for it. I finalised on this one:
“Miss Hazel Nut!”
You never know; this could be the start of a whole “Nutty” warband!
