I wasn’t sure what to create next. Then, as I picked up my notebook and pen, inspiration struck. I thought, why not make a warband from stationery that has come to life? Instead of using real stationery, I grabbed some pieces of sprue and got to work.
Notebook Dude

First, I started by making a Notebook Dude, arming him with a poisonous fountain pen. Using a sheet of thin dried sprue goo, I carved out a basic book shape and added some pages. Then, I gave him a pretty face and a shopping list.

Pencil Dude

Next, I created a cheerful little pencil. I glued two small pieces of sprue together back-to-back before sharpening one end to a point and carving the other end to resemble an eraser. I added a face and gave the pencil arms and legs. To complete the look, I made another pencil to serve as a weapon.

Eraser Dude

I created this figure by gluing together six pieces of sprue and then trimming it to give it an eraser shape. Next, I added limbs, a charming face, and a pair of pickaxes as weapons.

Envelope Dude

I took an old square base and cut it into a rectangle. After carving a flap and a mouth into it, I added eyes and a wax seal for the nose. I equipped it with a large sword and shield. On the back, I created a small stamp.

The Ruler

Every warband needs a leader, and who better to lead than the Ruler herself! To create her, I began by cutting a long rectangle from a flat piece of sprue to form the main body. Next, I crafted a crown and added a frowning face. Finally, I completed her by adding limbs, a sword, and a shield.

I may add to this warband in the future, perhaps by creating a stapler, a pot of ink, or even the king of stationery itself, “The Laminator”! However, that will have to wait, as there are so many other projects to complete first!
