For this mini, I grabbed a single chess pawn and set about beautifying it!
First off, I gave it some limbs by using small lengths of trimmed sprue. Next, I drilled holes in those round bits you find on the frame and attached them to the pawn to act as eyes. I also added a couple more bits to its front and one to the top of its head.
Feeling that the back of the mini was a little lacking, I made it a lovely backpack! I finished it off by making a banner out of a thin sliver of plastic I made from sprue goo.
Before I started painting this dude, I checked all of my other minis that I’ve made so far and noticed that not one of them was purple. So this one had to be purple! But I did keep all the limbs black to match my other board game-related minis.
I especially like this one, and the good news is that I have plenty of other chess pieces I could easily convert as well!
