Oathmark Dwarfs from Wargames Atlantic. Sprue

This time I’ve got a sprue of Oathmark Dwarfs from North Star Games. It’s quite a large sprue and contains five lightly armoured dwarfs and lots of extra arms, a few additional weapons and more than enough heads.

They took no time at all to assemble and look pretty good when done. As for the remaining sprue, it has quite a lot of good sized plastic to play around with.

The Build

So to start I made a small ballista. Dwarfs love siege weapons so I made one loosely based on a Roman design. In hindsight it maybe a touch too small but it still works.

After constructing this I thought I’ll go bigger and build a house. Obviously not a whole one but one which has caught fire and collapsed quite considerably.

I used all of the remaining sprue on this one and even glued the off cuts around the base of the building to make it look like foundation rubble.

I finished off by grabbing a few pieces of leftover weaponry and strategically attached them to the front of the building.

The ruin actually came out quite good to my eyes and now any dwarves wanting cover can have it!

I had just the green bit of sprue left that the five bases were on. I thought about it for awhile then it came to me, I’ll make a fountain full of oversized gold coins. And that’s what I did!

Using some of the remaining weapons and a head I concocted a focal point of the water feature. As I didn’t have anything to make a convincing water effect I left the fountain dry.
