I had a banner leftover from a Germanic Warrior Command Sprue (by Victrix) and I wondered what I could do with it. As I was looking closely the answer came to me – an early Saxon Christian cross.

So I freed the circular part from the rest of the banner and cut out three tiny pieces of sprue. I glued them to it to create the head of the cross.

Next, I glued two small lengths of sprue together and gently carved out a basic stone shaft. I then attached the head of the cross and the whole thing to a circular base. Finally using PVA glue I sprinkled plenty of sand to cover the base.

A simple paint job and another objective marker is complete!

This was so much fun to do and it was really nice to do something that didn’t take days to finish!
