After I made my first mini from a chess pawn (SPRUE DUDE no6: Pawn Dude! – Use The Sprue), it was only a matter of time before I made him some friends!
So the first playing piece I grabbed was the Knight. As with all these minis, they were easy to convert into proper little warriors. To make this one stand out, of course, I gave her a lance!
Next up was the Rook. This piece seemed to lack a bit of detail, so I added some crenelations to the top of his head before giving him a sword and shield.
But this war band needed a leader. So I set about beautifying the Queen. I gave her a large sword and shield and finished her off with a bit of decoration around the bottom of her dress.
I painted them all in the same livery as the original flag bearer which completed this little warband.
I think these dudes look cool, and I have a brilliant idea of how to use the King. But for now, that will have to wait, as there are so many other dudes to make first!
