Continuing with my now series of scratch building treasure tokens for Frostgrave, I’ve built another three!

Dead King’s Crown

Grabbing this disintegrated skeleton, I set about making the next base. As normal, I made the flagstones from small strips of sprue, gluing them into place and then trimming around the edges. This time though, I left a gap to make an open sewer, filling it with fine sand.

I used one of the round bits of the sprue and drilled into it to form a crown shape. Then, after cutting the pointy parts, I attached it the skeleton’s skull.

I glued all of the body parts to the base and placed the skull in the sewer.

After painting it up, I used clear resin to give the mucky water a lovely shine!

Canopic Jar

(I was so excited to make this that I forgot to take that many pictures along the way!)

Using the round corners from a frame of Viking Hirdmen from Warlord games, I glued the parts together. This formed the main body of the pot. Next, I found a thicker slab of sprue and glued the pot to it. A final trim, and the pot has a base!

I did a similar thing for the lid before attaching handles. I made them again by drilling into the round bits of the sprue, cutting it free, then slicing it in half.

After making the base, I glued the pot lid and tiny coins to it, and it was ready for painting.

Frostgrave Treasure Tokens - Part 3

The pot had to be terracotta, so I painted it orange and gave it an all-over yellow dry brush to age it.

Rune Stone

I had these bits leftover from a previous failed project, so I put them to good use to build a runestone.

I stuck four small lengths of sprue together to form the basic shape. Then I carved into it to add texture to the stone. After gluing it to a base, I added some small stone rubble made from plastic offcuts to finish it off.

Painting the whole thing in grey, I added a heavy dry brush with white. I finished it off by inscribing some runes on the stone, and I called it done.

That makes a grand total of twelve treasure tokens I’ve made that I can use in Frostgrave, which to me seems enough (for now!).
