Warhammer Liars Dice

I was going through my extensive board game collection and found this box. Perudo, or Liars Dice, is a fantastic game, but when I pulled out the bag with all the components in, I couldn’t believe it. The dice cups were awesome! They were premade wargaming temples, and there were six of them!

PS: The lid was awesome too!

Painting

I wanted a simple paint job, so I undercoated them in grey and gave them a nice white dry brush. To make the carvings stand out a bit, I painted them a yellowish brown. Then, a light wash in the recesses and another white dry brush. I finished it off by giving the turtle a lovely golden shine!

Painting these things took far longer than I thought, but in the end, I’m pleased with the results.

Then I remembered I hadn’t done anything with the lid! So I simply copied the way I painted the other buildings, but I couldn’t resist the urge to add a splash of colour!

It wasn’t until I flipped to the underside of the lid that I came up with another plan. Why not make it a kind of wishing well, or at the very least a sacrificial pond? So I did. I painted some wonky flagstones, then, once dry, gave them a layer of clear resin to create a shine!

When on the table, I think the temples look really good. And as a bonus, they can still be used to play Liars Dice!
